I’m Mindy Malone, founder of Editing Prose.
My path to fiction editing has been anything but traditional. From studying cultures around the world to leading high-performing sales teams, building successful businesses and overseeing finance and operations, one theme has remained constant throughout: helping people achieve their best work.
Today I bring that same combination of analytical thinking, curiosity, encouragement and attention to detail to every manuscript I edit.
What Guides The Work
Every manuscript has unique challenges and possibilities. Whether I’m strengthening the foundation of a story, refining style and flow or polishing language, my goal is the same: to help authors create the strongest version of their manuscript while preserving the voice that makes it uniquely theirs.
